Although it’s common for such speedy vehicles to offer bumpy rides, driving the Celestiq is anything but bumpy. Its air suspension system allows for a lighter ride quality, especially during tight turns.
For additional comfort, the Celestiq boasts a suite of standard features. These include hands-free driver’s assistance systems and individualized four-zone multi-climate systems among others.
But with any EV, buyers tend to prioritize the vehicle’s range and charging times above all else. Knowing this, Cadillac outfitted the Celestiq with an Ultium battery pack providing 300 miles of driving range per charge. And thanks to 200-kW DC fast charging, the Celestiq can even charge about 80 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The New All-Electric Lyriq SUV
Those looking for a luxury electric SUV will be more interested in the new Cadillac Lyriq. The larger vehicle offers additional passenger space and cargo room to accommodate families and those with more storage needs.
The Lyriq features a base drive 340 horsepower single motor on the rear axle. However, those looking for an all-wheel drive EV will be pleased to know that the Lyric also comes in a dual-motor trim that brings the SUV up to 500-hp.
Standard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Further, the Lyriq introduces three driving modes – Tour, Sport, and Snow/Ice – to handle different road conditions. Plus, the new, custom My Mode also allows you to configure acceleration, braking, and steering preferences for each drive.
One-pedal driving is another new feature that stabilizes speeds on long descents with more regenerative braking power.
